One of my greatest passions in life is helping people. This love was fostered in my youth through Girl Scouting, continued into adulthood with being an Elementary/STEM teacher, and led me to my current role as an instructional designer and eLearning developer. Designing and developing instruction is one of my favorite ways to use my skills to help others.

In my free time I love exploring the world in which we live whether that is through travel, a trip to the museum, building a new set of Legos with my sons, or diving deep into learning new things. As a Gold Award recipient Girl Scout, I learned the value in helping others and try to do so whenever I can. This sometimes means volunteering to sew skirts for a non-profit dance organization or being a sponsor on a field trip for my son’s school.

AboutMe

I pair my experience with working in education with adult learning principles to solve problems and create learning solutions for the companies with whom I work. I believe training can be engaging and use tools such as Articulate Rise and Storyline to create the type of courses that reflect that belief.

My designing process follows the ADDIE/SAM models in which I work with subject matter experts and other stakeholders to design the best learning solution. My learning solutions are guided by data gathered through conducting learner analysis and needs assessments in order to get specific learning objectives that are used to craft creative and effective learning.
